- We flag Antimony in polyester components, Membrane coating degradation and microplastic shedding and PFAS in waterproof treatment (covered separately) on the Garmont and not on the Timberland.
- We flag PTFE and fluorocarbon microparticle shedding, Formaldehyde resins in leather tanning and finishing, Azo dye residues in nubuck finish and Adhesive and glue volatiles at seams on the Timberland and not on the Garmont.
- The Garmont is Textile upper with G-Dry waterproof membrane where the Timberland is Leather, nubuck, rubber sole with waterproof treatment, which is most of the difference in these two grades.
- These two are level, close enough that price and fit should decide it rather than our grade.
