Where these two actually differ

• We flag PFAS in waterproof coating and Off-gassing of volatile organic compounds from synthetic coating on the Merrell and not on the Timberland.
• We flag PTFE and fluorocarbon microparticle shedding, Formaldehyde resins in leather tanning and finishing, Azo dye residues in nubuck finish and Adhesive and glue volatiles at seams on the Timberland and not on the Merrell.
• The Merrell is textile upper with waterproof coating where the Timberland is Leather, nubuck, rubber sole with waterproof treatment, which is most of the difference in these two grades.
