Where these two actually differ
- We flag Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) from solvents, Fragrance allergens and sensitizers and Propellant-related respiratory irritation on the Bumble and bumble and not on the Wella.
- We flag Inhalation of aerosolized propellant and polymers, Fragrance allergens and contact sensitization and Polymer film buildup and scalp irritation with overuse on the Wella and not on the Bumble and bumble.
- The Bumble and bumble is spray formulation (polymers, propellant, solvents) where the Wella is Water-based spray propellant with conditioning polymers, which is most of the difference in these two grades.
- These two are level, close enough that price and fit should decide it rather than our grade.
Both products run through the same public rubric, which covers materials, coatings, brand disclosure, lab findings, and recalls, plus a beyond-PFAS hazard analysis. Grades are model-based estimates, not lab tests. How grades work →
