63,549 PFAS Disclosures, Filed By The Manufacturers Themselves

The finding, reporting year 2026
Manufacturers have filed 63,549 PFAS disclosures with Minnesota covering 18,436 products from 189 companies, naming 174 distinct PFAS compounds. 11,214 of those filings, from 97 companies, report the product is 90 to 100% PFAS by mass. Another 19,956 state that PFAS is present but the company does not know how much.

Minnesota requires a manufacturer to tell the state about every product it sells there that contains intentionally added PFAS, and to name the compound, say what the compound is doing in the product and give a concentration band. Unlike every other number on this site, none of this is our assessment. It is what the companies said about themselves, under a law, and we have mirrored it so you can search it by company, by compound and by what the chemical is for.

How much PFAS the filers say is in there

The bands are Minnesota’s, not ours, heaviest declared concentration first, and the counts are of filings rather than products, since one product can report several compounds. The band for filings that give no concentration sits at the bottom, because a company saying it does not know is not the same as a company declaring a high number. The largest single band is the one where the company states PFAS is present and does not know how much, 19,956 filings from 50 companies.

By compound

Every PFAS compound named in a filing, with the number of disclosures that name it. These are the pages to open if you want to know whether a specific chemical, or a CAS number you have read on a safety sheet, turns up in products.

By what the chemical is for

Filers must say what the PFAS is doing in the product. This is the most revealing field in the set, because it shows PFAS being used deliberately as a flame retardant, a lubricant, a sealant or a barrier rather than turning up as a contaminant.

By company

Every company that has filed, largest first. Most are industrial suppliers, and a number are names you would recognise from a shop shelf.

What the filings are actually about

Worth knowing before you read too much into the totals. This set is mostly industrial. The most commonly filed components are parts rather than products, which is why there is no page here for each of the 1,243 brand names in the set.

Take the data

The whole set is available as JSON at /api/public/disclosures, filterable by company, compound, function and concentration band. No key, no rate limit, CORS open. Attribution to PFAS Authority with a link is all we ask, and the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency should be credited as the source of the filings.

Source, manufacturer filings made to the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency under the state’s PFAS in Products law and published through PRISM, run by the Interstate Chemicals Clearinghouse. These are the manufacturers’ own statements, not our grades and not laboratory results. A filing covers the product as sold in Minnesota and says nothing about products or formulations the company did not file. Reporting was still open when this was pulled, so absence from the set is not evidence a product is PFAS-free.
