Where these two actually differ
- We flag Preservative residues (formaldehyde releasers, parabens), Fragrance allergens and sensitizers and Bacterial growth in opened container on the MAC and not on the Maybelline.
- We flag Talc contamination (asbestos risk), Fragrance allergens (undisclosed components) and Emulsion instability and microbial growth if contaminated on the Maybelline and not on the MAC.
- The MAC is Water, silicones, glycerin (emollient cosmetic cream) where the Maybelline is water-based emulsion, talc/mineral pigments, glycerin, which is most of the difference in these two grades.
- These two are level, close enough that price and fit should decide it rather than our grade.
Both products run through the same public rubric: materials, coatings, brand disclosure, lab findings, and recalls, plus a beyond-PFAS hazard analysis. Grades are model-based estimates, not lab tests. How grades work →
