What Cuisinart says and does about PFAS

Cuisinart sells both kinds of nonstick. Independent testing by the Ecology Center found PTFE on a Cuisinart stainless skillet with its QuanTanium nonstick interior, and a silicon dioxide ceramic coating on a Green Gourmet skillet, matching that line’s PTFE-free label. We could not load Cuisinart’s own chemical disclosure pages to confirm which current models it lists as containing PFAS.

  • Independent testThe Ecology Center’s 2020 testing found PTFE on the Cuisinart Classic Stainless Steel 8 in Non-stick Skillet, sold with a QuanTanium non-stick interior. Ecology Center ↗
  • Independent testThe same testing found a silicon dioxide coating, a type of ceramic, on the Cuisinart Green Gourmet Induction 8 in Skillet, consistent with its PTFE-free label. Ecology Center ↗
  • Brand statementCuisinart has described its GreenGourmet hard anodized cookware coating as completely free of PTFE and PFOA. Cuisinart (archived page) ↗
