Where these two actually differ

• We flag VOC off-gassing from polyurethane or latex adhesive, Polypropylene UV degradation and microplastic shedding, Backing adhesive failure and fiber separation and Infill contamination (if rubber granules used) on the AstroTurf and not on the Realgrass.
• We flag PFAS in water-resistant coating treatment, Microfiber shedding from PE/PP base, Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from adhesives or backing and Degradation and leachate from backing under UV and moisture on the Realgrass and not on the AstroTurf.
• The AstroTurf is Polypropylene (PP) astroturf where the Realgrass is Polyethylene or polypropylene with stain/water-resistant treatment, which is most of the difference in these two grades.
• The gap is 45 points, wide enough that this is not a close call, and the AstroTurf is the one to buy.
• We are less certain about the Realgrass grade, at 35% confidence against 72%, because it discloses less.
