Where these two actually differ
- We flag PTFE thermal decomposition and fume release, Coating degradation and flaking, Aluminum leaching from substrate and Off-gassing and odor during early use on the All-Clad and not on the GreenPan.
- We flag Coating degradation and substrate exposure, Aluminum leaching and Manufacturing consistency and third-party verification on the GreenPan and not on the All-Clad.
- The All-Clad is PTFE-based nonstick coating (fluoropolymer) where the GreenPan is Ceramic-based nonstick coating, which is most of the difference in these two grades.
- The gap is 65 points, wide enough that this is not a close call, and the GreenPan is the one to buy.
Both products run through the same public rubric, which covers materials, coatings, brand disclosure, lab findings, and recalls, plus a beyond-PFAS hazard analysis. Grades are model-based estimates, not lab tests. How grades work →
