What Eucerin says and does about PFAS
Eucerin’s own ingredients and responsibility page sets out what the brand has committed to, and PFAS is not on it. The page deals at length with microplastics, saying Eucerin reached its goal of being free of microplastics in its cosmetic formulations at the end of 2023, and a footnote limits that pledge to cosmetic formulations excluding OTC products, which is the category many of its sunscreens and medicated creams fall into. We found no PFAS statement from Eucerin or its parent Beiersdorf, and no independent PFAS testing of Eucerin products.
- Brand statementEucerin says its ingredient selection follows high internal standards regarding efficacy, safety and responsible sourcing. The page names no restricted chemical class and does not mention PFAS or fluorinated ingredients anywhere. Eucerin ↗
- Brand statementOn the same page Eucerin says it reached its goal to be free of microplastics in its cosmetic formulations at the end of 2023. A footnote limits that to cosmetic formulations excluding OTC products, using the United Nations Environment Program definition of microplastic. Eucerin ↗
