Ninja cookware averages Bad on our four-band scale. None of them clear our buy threshold. That is above 30% of the cookware brands we grade.

PFAS Authority is a scoring system, not a laboratory. We do not test products ourselves. Grades are model-based, built from published ingredients, materials, certifications, brand disclosures and third-party lab results where they exist. See the rubric.

What Ninja says and does about PFAS

For Ninja, the answer depends on what you bought and when. SharkNinja’s own California disclosure list shows PTFE as the nonstick coating on Ninja air fryers made before 15 August 2024, while the air fryers listed for units made after that date, or bought after 1 January 2025, show aluminum and no PTFE. Its NeverStick Premium cookware lists PTFE, FEP and PFA, while its Ceramic Pro and Extended Life Ceramic cookware list aluminum and stainless steel with no PTFE.
