What Tramontina says and does about PFAS
Tramontina sells both kinds of nonstick and says which is which. It describes its traditional nonstick as a PTFE-based coating, and its ceramic nonstick as made without intentionally added PTFE, PFOA, PFAS, lead and cadmium. Tramontina is one of the three cookware makers behind the industry group that challenged Minnesota’s ban on cookware with intentionally added PFAS, and the court dismissed that challenge in August 2025.
