Do LARQ water filters have PFAS?
LARQ water filters average 99 out of 100 on PFAS Authority's PFAS and toxin screen across the 4 LARQ water filters graded as of October 2026, above the 95 out of 100 median for the 64 other water filters brands graded alongside it.
LARQ water filters average Excellent on our four-band scale. 4 of the 4 we graded are worth buying.
PFAS Authority is a scoring system, not a laboratory. We do not test products ourselves. Grades are model-based, built from published ingredients, materials, certifications, brand disclosures and third-party lab results where they exist. See the rubric.
Do LARQ filters remove PFAS?
Yes. NSF lists LARQ as certified for total pfas reduction.
This is a separate question from the grade above, which is about what the filter is made of. A certification means a certifier tested one specific claim on one specific model, so it covers the models named here and nothing else in the range.
NSF’s public register lists LARQ for total pfas reduction under its drinking water treatment unit program.
Registers checked September 29, 2026. A lab test the brand publishes is a real result and not a certification. See every filter certified to reduce PFAS, and what LARQ says about PFAS.

What LARQ says and does about PFAS
LARQ makes specific, checkable PFAS claims about its filters, and they are not all the same level of proof. Its Advanced Under Sink Filter is listed by NSF for total PFAS reduction, and its Filter Straw is certified by IAPMO to the same NSF/ANSI 53 standard for PFOA and PFOS. Its Advanced Bottle Filter and Advanced Pitcher Filter are described as independently tested to that standard rather than certified. We found no LARQ statement on whether its bottle coatings or plastics contain PFAS.
