Does Adidas swimwear have PFAS?
Adidas swimwear averages 39 out of 100 on PFAS Authority's PFAS and toxin screen across the 7 Adidas swimwear products graded as of October 2026, below the 54 out of 100 median for the 27 other swimwear brands graded alongside it.
Adidas swimwear averages Poor on our four-band scale. None of them clear our buy threshold. That is above 41% of the swimwear brands we grade.
PFAS Authority is a scoring system, not a laboratory. We do not test products ourselves. Grades are model-based, built from published ingredients, materials, certifications, brand disclosures and third-party lab results where they exist. See the rubric.
What Adidas says and does about PFAS
Adidas says it is committed to being more than 99% PFAS-free and lists PFAS among the restricted substances in its policy. It also disclosed that a supplier used PFAS-containing paint on some zipper components in 2023. We did not find a PFAS statement covering its insoles or golf products specifically.
