Marmot Review, Is Marmot Non-Toxic?
Marmot averages 23 out of 100 on PFAS Authority's PFAS and toxin screen across the 32 Marmot products graded as of October 2026, and none of them reach its 70 point pass mark.

What Marmot says and does about PFAS
Marmot describes some of its rain gear as PFC-free, a term the outdoor industry has long used for fluorinated water repellents, rather than as PFAS-free. Its PreCip Eco rain jacket uses a face fabric Marmot calls PFC-free, and in 2021 the Sierra Club reported that Marmot had a growing collection of PFAS-free clothing and was working to become completely free of PFAS. We found no Marmot statement that its whole range is PFAS-free, so check the grade of the exact product.
